      The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra (APO) with its headquarters in Yerevan was always one of the leading orchestras of the former Soviet Union. In the year 2000 Eduard Topchian was appointed artistic director & principal conductor of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. In this capacity, he is committed to the encouragement of the cultural and musical consciousness of his native audience by regularly performing classical works and operas alongside national and contemporary music. This CD with Andreas Frölich at the piano performing an exclusively Mozart programme provides ample evidence of this.
