      Since winning first prize at the international ARD Competition 2010, at which he also won the audience prize, the OehmsClassics Special Prize as well as the special prize of the Munich Chamber Orchestra, Julian Steckel has been one of the most sought-after cellists in the world. Already prior to this, he was a prize winner at important international competitions in Paris (Grand Prix Rostropovich), Berlin (Grand Prix Feuermann) and Kronberg (Pablo Casals Competition).
