Born in Uruguay, Eduardo Fernandez
began studying the guitar at the age
of seven. Even at his young age the
guitarist already won numerous competitions,
such as Porto Alegre 1972
(Brazil), Radio France 1975 (Paris)
and the Andrés Segovia Competition
(Spain). Today he is recognized as
one of the leading guitarists. Critics
all over the world point out his „absolute
technique“ and describe him as an
„thoughtful and thought-inspiring artist“,
and even as „one of the greatest
living guitarists“.
